In my constant juggle between the Canon 5D Mark II and the Nikon D700, I stumble upon this little nugget on Ken Rockwell's website that made me scared of the 5D Mark II

He says "Few lenses are as good as the 5D Mark II."

going on to say that even their sweetest lens they have out right now just isn't good enough to handle the detail provided by 21 megapixels.

That scared me. Nikon, here I come.

First, I'd like to start off saying thanks to all of my followers...Brandon and Holly.

Its for people like you that I do what I do.

Secondly, This upcoming week is going to suck.

I have been sleeping in way late every day this week and I have to wake up tomorrow at 7 to start my day. Fucdge

Some good news, ol' HJ is comin into town next week and as usual Im very excited.

I am just glad I dont have too much work to do so we can get some quality time in.

I'll be taking some pictures this week of Whigs posters I'll be hanging up around town and Eddie's opera.

Check back in a few days to see whats been going on.

This is going to start a new pattern for me. On sundays, I will say what Im going to be taking pictures of that week. Then that week hopefully I will deliver.

Classic TAB at the Tabernacle in Atlanta 2.27.10

To those who care: I went and saw the Trey Anastasio Band last night with John and we had a blast. First set was decent. Push on til the day and sultans of swing were the highlights for me. First set was studded with plenty of cheesy trey songs. The acoustic set was pretty cool, really just a good reason for a few thousand phish fans to sing phish songs while Trey played guitar. Kinda corny, but really fun to scream the words of Bathtub Gin. Second set was really where it happened. John and I went up to the middle tier and were on the keys side of things. They opened with Jibboo and it was basically uphill from there. Really clean improv sections and I don''t think the band ever missed a beat. They kept the energy high the whole time and never seemed to fail. They did an awesome cover of Black Dog and really let it rip. At some point in time(during Heavy Things of all songs), some chick with dreads got up on stage and started dancing around and dodging security. That was pretty funny and made the crowd go nuts.

Overall, I thought TAB was an awesome excuse to go listen to some damn good music. Trey was there in full force and played with enthusiasm and gusto. The energy of the place was really great and the music helped elevate everyone to those ridiculous highs that only live music can achieve. For any doubters, Classic TAB is well worth the money and definitely one of the better shows I've ever been to.

Hopefully I will post a video later that attempts to capture the climax of the whole show, which was Trey using his guitar to "play the feedback" at the end of First Tube. Long story short, it wound up with him holding his guitar over his head in the Bittersweet Motel fashion. I have never been so blown away.

One of my favorite parts of the night, Backwards Down the Number Line. Listen for the crowd participation. Gave me goosebumps.
